You can get a tighter, firmer set of abs by doing a simple exercise in your car or watching TV or even in bed. The problem with exercise is that it is boring and also many people haven’t got the time to go to a gym. So, this article explores a simple exercise that works and you can do it simply driving to work or watching TV.

Bare in mind, that for your abs to grow is one thing, but to reveal the abs you are going to have to reduce your body fat percentage to get that lean ripped look. Most people have a nice set of abs under the flesh of their tummy but simply hidden from view, they are not apparent. So you may need to cut your calorie intake if the flesh across your tummy is to thick to reveal the detailed bumps and ridges of a 6 pack.

The exercise simply calls for 20 minutes of periodic tensing of the large muscle group across your tummy. Begin by tensing as hard as you can possibly manage for a full 10 seconds. If 10 seconds is too long for you to sustain, try 5 seconds at first. Sitting up just tense the whole area and count 1 cant and dog, 2 cat and dog and so on until you get to 10. Then release. Rest for 10 or 20 seconds then begin again.

You can do that 60 to 100 times over the course of the drive to work and I promise you within a few weeks you will be seeing a marked difference in muscle tone and shape. Because with a toned set of abdominals your muscles actually begin to retain their shape even when relaxed meaning they will hold your insides in more effectively. The familiar pot belly is simply your organs and intestines pushing their way out because the abdominals have atrophied. If the abdominals are toned, they do a much better job holding in your intestines (as terrible as it sounds) meaning you will have a flatter torso even if you haven’t lost the weight yet.
